It got even worse as I drove towards/around Dallas. I'm talking serious sleet/rain/whatever it's called. It was the first time I've ever driven in snow/ice, and believe me there was a lot of steering-wheel gripping going on! Not an experience I need to relive any time soon. I hope it doesn't snow like this in Seattle.
So I left Texas today, I hope never to come back. Maybe I will, maybe I won't. I had a little moment as I was driving by the Sam Houston statue. There may have even been a tear shed. But it's time to move on.
